![]() Welcome to the website for the Reik Félag. The Reik Félag is a Viking Age recreation non-profit society, located in the Greater Vancouver area of British Columbia, Canada. We are dedicated to the education of the general public on the history and culture of the Viking Age (generally considered to be 793-1066 A.D.) through the use of accurate living history portrayals which not only educate but also entertain. We look to teach our members the crafts, skills, and ways of the early Norse and Anglo-Saxon peoples, while maintaining a focus on having fun. The group works with several other organizations, such as the Scandinavian Heritage Center, where every year we set up a "Viking Village" for the Center's Midsummer Festival. We often do events for the Viking Ship Project, Sons of Norway, Scouts Canada and more. Contact us by email if there is an event we would be suited for. Interesting fact: The term "Reik Félag" is Icelandic, and roughly translates to "travelling fellowship". Reik Félag is a registered non-profit society regulated under the BC Societies Act. |
